Join Lucy Poskitt and learn the essentials of frame-loom weaving.
We'll cover everything you need to know - from how to set up your loom, the mechanics of weaving to different ways of creating texture and pattern as well as how to finish and remove your completed piece.
This workshop includes a beautiful locally-made, maple hand loom, five essential tools, a selection of natural-fibre yarns and an extensive booklet of step-by- step weaving techniques and resources.
Lucy Poskitt is a textile artist and teacher living in Victoria, BC.
She believes that when you've learned proper technique, you can confidently create and explore your own weaving style. Lucy's workshops take students through the fundamentals of tapestry weaving into developing their own individual and contemporary weaving practices.
Workshop materials and supplies are locally sourced or handmade when possible.
