Why Drink A Green Juice a Day?
More like, why not?!?
There really is no denying it: Green juice is a health craze worth going crazy for. Fresh, raw, veggie-based juices are a fantastic way to easily ingest a lot of nutrients. Kale, romaine, spinach, arugula, chard, parsley, cucumbers, celery, basil, cilantro and whatever other green veggies you want to get into that glowing god pod of yours are a few sips away. In one delicious bottle of green juice you flood your body with vibrant vitamins and minerals. It aids in boosting your metabolism, helps you digest foods better, and gives you tons of energy. The benefits from drinking a daily green juice are well documented and easy to find, but I would love to share mine:
Top 5 Reasons for Guzzling Green Juice
1. Clean Energy
Absorb the nutrients and move on. The digestive system doesn’t have to work at breaking anything down, so your body doesn’t need to expend as much energy to deal with it. Plus, there’s no crash or brain fog like you experience after ingesting sugar, and no icky feeling that follows eating processed junk.
2. Controls Cravings
There is no denying it. Eat crap, crave crap. Drink greens, crave greens. Drinking green juice daily has a significant impact on keeping my cravings for leafy and whole foods high, and cravings for sugar and junk food low.
3. Glowing Skin
Girrrrrrl, your skin is fire! The youths taught me that one. ‘Fire’ is slang for hot, sexy and awesome. (I like to pretend I am keeping up with the youths). It’s true: green juice does wonders for my skin. It helps my skin stay clear, radiant and glowing. Just as dead, lifeless, processed food makes your skin break out, and somehow look ashy, greasy, or dry, Green juice makes your skin look like the vibrant, healthy, youthy staff I work with here at Good Life.
4. Improved Digestion
It’s all about the enzymes baby! Enzymes represent the vital energy force in plants, and they also represent the vital energy force in your body. The power of enzyme energy is immense. It is the life force you need to breathe, blink, think, dance and power the body in every way possible.
Live enzymes from raw juice help to boost your metabolic rate because they help the body’s naturally occurring metabolic enzymes do their job. The job being to process any decomposing food already in the colon and/or any new foods being ingested. This makes you doubly efficient in processing your food and increases your chances of losing weight.
When you drink a raw cold pressed juice, it’s like you are refueling your metabolic and digestive systems with supreme – top of the line – can’t get anything better – totally energy-efficient fuel. This is why when you drink juice every day, or complete a raw juice cleanse, your energy levels soar and you are better able to digest food. Click here for more on Raw Foods & Live Enzymes.
Don’t yell at me. I get that not all of you have a juice factory in your basement, but a girl’s gotta be honest: I understand it is not as readily available or affordable for everyone to buy/make. Are you desperate to try a green juice, but it's not within your means? Call me, I'll take care you. :)
When do I drink my Green Juice?
I rise before the sun to exercise, and I like to train pretty hard. I need something to power me up and sustain me through my sweat session. Overnight oats are my top pic. I follow it up with a plant-based protein smoothie after I work out. That will fuel until lunch. It’s mid afternoon, when my energy can slump that I reach for a green juice. I will often enjoy it with a handful of almonds, power ball, or bar for some added fiber and protein.
This keep me feeling light until dinner and craving lots of greens on my dinner plate!
How to Choose a Green Juice?
Weather you are making it at home or picking up a bottle of Good Life Juice, I always recommend going for one that is has a higher ratio of veggies than fruit.
