Are you headed to a music festival, beach party, or outdoor event this summer?  It is the season to let your hair down, go barefoot, and dance beneath a beating sun after all .  So to give you a little inspiration we had 2 different fashion lovers weigh-in on their key items needed to complete any festival ready wardrobe.

GLJ Founder, Andrea Dershin

  1. Layered Braceletes: Stack up various metals, textures, shapes and colours to create your personalized look. I like to incorporate a multi-coloured bracelet, a wrap bracelet, a few gold bracelets and maybe something a little more chunky.
  2. Metallic Tattoos: These look amazing on tanned skin and can also be a part of your stacked bracelet look.  Great for the beach!
  3. Something Flowy: whether its a loose fitting t-shirt, a flowy dress, skirt or kimono top, it adds an easy breezy element to your outfit.
  4. Short Shorts: When I think festival fashion, I automatically think of jean cutoffs. They are effortless, chic, and go with almost anything.
  5. Fringe: Whether it's the frayed end of your jean cut offs, or a little fringe hanging from your bag or kimono top, a little fringe adds a boho vibe to your festival style.

  1. Fedora: A fedora is a classic festival must have and it protects your face from the warm desert sun.
  2. Bucket bag: This style of bag is extremely popular right now and is perfect for holding all of your festival essentials.
  3. Tribal print: Not sure where to start when looking for a festival ready outfit then go for anything with a tribal print. These prints are always so colourful and add dimension to any look.
  4. Maxi skirt: These skirts are perfect for any festival because they channel the 1970s look and usually come in a wide array of prints and colours. Pair a maxi skirt with a crop top and you are ready to go.
  5. Denim vest: If you want to layer your look then try adding a denim vest into the mix, it adds a rocker chic edge.
