See ya later Summer!

Drinking on the beach [su_spacer]

You would think with all the local produce, cravings for fresh juice and eating light, that summer would be the easiest season to stay fit and healthy. I make more salads, I play outside with my kids, and I work less.  This should all mean I feel light and lean, right?!? Nope.

There are just too many fun things to do, yummy things to eat, and drinks to celebrate that make summer my favorite season, but not my healthiest season.

So if you are feeling like September is your January, don't fret gorgeous, you're not alone!

Around this time of year, I find myself and my friends telling each other how much we are craving getting back into our healthy routines.  We have had enough bbq's, drinking on the porch, and eating ice cream at the beach. And why do potato chips just taste so good when you eat them at the beach? I'm not quite sure, but I am ready to say goodbye to the fun for a while and get back into the healthy routines that come around in the Fall.

September is a time for new goals, hard work, and starting fresh.

As I gear up for the season ahead, I am looking forward to getting to bed earlier, planning out my meals, hot yoga & sweaty sessions at the gym, and of course a seasonal juice cleanse to get things started.  Doing a juice cleanse with the change of seasons is the most popular time, and one that your body craves.  When shifting from one style of eating or activity level to another, it feels right to detox, cleanse and re-set and I am really looking forward to it!

Speaking of things to look forward to, the kids going back to school just might be one of them. :) I am a lucky duck to be able to work way less in the summer and rock out with my kids, but I am also a lady who loves to be productive and kick-ass at work. I like setting goals and getting the team jazzed for a new challenge. I like the feeling that comes after a day of being productive at work. I like being busy . . . and September is a great month to get busy. ;0

And let's not forget the best reason of all to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall . . .  The Fashion!!!
